Welcome to PersonalFitness.com

I’m Dr. Del Millers, the creator of this site.

As you know, there is an abundance of fitness information on the web so I’m not here to repeat what’s already available. What I’m really interested in is helping you along your fitness journey.

So this site is about inspiring, encouraging and supporting you to be the best you’ve ever been – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

In short, I want you to do stuff, not just read about it. Why not try something you’re not used to like yoga, Pilates, martial arts, dance, or mindfulness movement?

I created this site when I started my fitness business back in 1995; so obviously, I’ve seen a thing or two when it comes to fitness/nutrition trends and fads.

You’ll find none of that here. I’m not into trends or fads. I believe that if you stick to a few basic fundamentals you will transform your health, your body, your fitness and your life.

As a PhD Nutritionist I obviously know a thing or two about nutrition. But here’s the honest truth. I spent 15 years writing a monthly nutrition column for magazines in the US and Australia, and you want to know why I called it quits?

All the INFORMATION out there won’t do you a damn bit of good unless you create a lifestyle around a few basic fundamentals:

EAT FOOD
MOVE
SLEEP
MEDITATE
PLAY

– mostly plants.
– more than you sit everyday
– at least 7 hours each night
– your stress away
– to bring more joy into your life

It’s really that simple! So here’s where I recommend that you start. Get started with a little inspiration:

1. Opt-in and get a copy of my very first book, Fitness & Spirituality. It’s a very inspiring read, and you can probably read it in an hour.

Here’s what Jack Canfield, co-creator of the New York Times best selling Chicken Soup for the Soul books had to say about Fitness & Spirituality:

Fitness & Spirituality will inspire you to connect your physical exercise to your spiritual path in a way that will be chicken soup for your body and your soul.”

2. Take the Fitness Assessment
Just enter your basic information and answer a few simple questions and measurements and you will automatically get a Fitness Analysis Report. Your report will tell you your BMI (Body Mass Index), approximate body fat percentage, your Basal Metabolic Rate, and most importantly, how many calories you need throughout the day to maintain your weight, lose weight or gain muscle.

You will also get access to a number of free coaching videos that were only available to my private coaching clients as well as my Jumpstart Guide e-book that will help you get started if this is all new to you.

3. At least check out the Healthy Meals Delivery
Unfortunately, most people get this wrong. They show up at the gym and train hard but have little or no consistency with what they eat. That’s backward since what you eat is responsible for 80% of the results you get.

So if you want to get consistent results, then make your meal plan your number one priority. I know it’s hard to find the time in our busy schedules to shop, plan and cook healthy meals, but it’s necessary. That’s why many of my clients have turned to meal delivery services.

I’ve always recommended that my clients either learn how to cook or find someone to do it for them. If you don’t know how to cook, or you can’t or won’t make the time to prepare healthy meals, let Diet-to-Go do it for you. Their restaurant quality meals are chef-prepared for real people so they taste great. At least check it out.

4. If you need help, consider coaching
I’m here to inspire, support and encourage you to live an energized life and be the best you’ve ever been. So if you need help, don’t be afraid to ask. Personally, I’ve hired business coaches, marketing coaches, Internet gurus, tennis coaches, dance coaches and a host of other professionals who have helped me to be successful in different areas of my life. I’ve spent ten’s of thousands of dollars on these coaches. Why? A great coach will help you to achieve success sooner, rather than later.

So if you need help with your health, fitness and nutrition goals, why not consider coaching? If you’re trying to accomplish something specific, why try to figure it out on your own when thousands before you have done exactly what you’re trying to do? Isn’t it better to have a guide who has walked that path a thousand times and is familiar with all the traps and pitfalls along the way?

If you want to work with me, here’s who I work with:

  • Highly motivated people who are desperate for change.
  • Your goal has to be big enough to completely transform your life when you achieve it.
  • You have to be DESPERATE and willing to do whatever it takes to succeed.
  • You have to be willing to be uncomfortable and upset the status quo in your life.
  • You have to be willing to INVEST your time, energy and money in your health and your life.
  • You have to be COACHABLE.
